Poetry

I started writing poetry as a teenager in Persian, in Tehran. Reading the original works of ancient Persian poets in Farsi deeply inspired me, shaping my mind and nurturing my passion for poetry. The joy, ecstasy, and magic I experienced while reading their words were unlike anything else you have been heard of.

After moving to New York to study at NYU, my journey as a bilingual poet in English and Persian continued.

In July 2024 my interview highlighting my artistic journey where was published in Public Seminar Journal. Below is the link.

Reading poetry aloud had long been a source of joy for me, and I immersed myself in the vibrant literary scene of New York City, participating in numerous poetry readings and sharing my work with engaged audiences.

Below you will find information about a few of the poetry readings I performed recently.
